Já andam por aí há algumas temporadas, mas pelo que tenho visto este será o ano das calças paper bag.
Um modelo de cintura subida, loose e com pregas que pode ter um cinto incorporado, que além de serem muito confortáveis disfarçam algum volume indesejável na zona da barriga.
Para quem me acompanha á mais tempo estas calças já não são novidade, não foram o primeiro par que comprei pois encaixam que nem uma luva no meu estilo chique descontraído.

They've been around for a couple of seasons and I bet this year we'll be seeing a lot of paper bag pants.
These have a high rise waist line, a pleated loose style and may have a matching belt. Besides comfortable they also provide a nice camouflage for unwelcome stomach volumes.
Those who follow me a longer time already know this style; it wasn't the first pair I bought as they are the perfect match for my easy breezy style.
However this casual design presents a certain difficulty to pull off, that I'm proposing to simplify:
Contudo este modelo casual apresenta algumas dificuldades que me proponho desde já a desmistificar:
1- TUCK IN
A primeira regra para o look funcionar é usar sempre o top por dentro das calças, sejam blusas ou camisolas mais justas. Recomendo também que as partes de cima não sejam muito compridas, para evitar volume exagerado na zona da anca.
First rule is always wear your tops, blouses or fine sweaters tucked in. Avoid big lenght tops to prevent too much bulking on the hips.

2- PAIR WITH A SHORT JACKET
Um dos efeitos deste corte é um aumento de volume do quadril contrapondo com uma cintura marcada. Daqui se conclui que vai favorecer as silhuetas rectangulares e ampulheta, mas os biótipos pêra e maçã devem evitá-lo.
Para equilibrar este volume na anca o ideal é combinar as calças com blusões curtos ou jaquetas ao estilo chanel, o máximo comprimento que os casacos devem ter é o quadril.
One of the characteristics of this style is enhancing the hips opposing to a ringed waistline.
Therefore straight and hourglass silhouettes will be most favored, contrariwise to apple and pear shaped biotypes.
To balance this added volume I would recommend appending a short jacket to the outfit: denim, Chanel alike, leather biker or a bomber. The maximum jacket's length should be the higher hip.
3- HEELS OR FLATS
Regra geral todas ficamos mais favorecidas com um bocadinho de salto, e no caso das calças paper bag a regra confirma-se: a perna alonga e a silhueta fica mais elegante.
Na minha vida real os saltos altos só surgem ocasionalmente, por isso estou á vontade para vos dizer que também podem usar este modelo com botins rasos, sabrinas, sapatos de atacadores e sandálias femininas.
As universally acknowledged women look better in heels, so paper bag trousers are not an exception: legs elongate and the silhouette looks more polished.
However in my real life heels only come out on occasion, so I'm comfortable enough to say that you can also rock this style in flat ankle boots, ballerinas, brogues and strappy sandals.

4- A FEMININE TOUCH
Este exemplo que vos trago é de inspiração militar, e mesmo noutras cores e tecidos tem um aspecto durão. Por isso o meu conselho é que as misturem com peças femininas ( seda, renda, joalharia fina...) para o visual resultar mais suave.
The sample on the photos is a clear military inspiration, but even in a different color or fabric these pants might look tough. So my styling advice is to mix them up with more delicate items (silk, lace, fine jewelry...) to soften the final result.
