O estilo avózinha, granny ou geek é uma abordagem completamente diferente do que têm surgido nas passarelas em anos anteriores.
Um pouco revivalista, mas com aquele toque de modernidade que é essencial para não cairmos em looks de fantasia...

Hey there, let's set off the week talking about Fall Trends in detail. For starters I picked the one I thing is the biggest novelty and more challenging in terms of style.
The granny or geek style is completely different approach of what we've been used to in earlier seasons.
A bit revivalist but with a modern twist, that is so needed for not looking exceedingly fantasy.
So it looks like some designers literally took their grandmother's closet by storm, and recovered pussy bow and ruffle blouses, 3/4 length jackets, knit and tweed garments, big jewelry and very loud prints...
Bags and shoes didn't escape either. They copied their old style but in new color combinations and unexpected materials, so the final result is quite interesting.

Os designers assaltaram (literalmente) os armários das avòs, e recuperaram desde blusas de laçada ou com folhos, aos casacos de 3/4, a peças em malha e em tweed, á bijutaria exagerada e alguns padrões muito pouco discretos...
Os sapatos e as carteiras tão pouco escaparam a esta vistoria. Temos os modelos antigos, mas emcombinações coloridas e materiais inesperados que tornam o styling muito interessante.

Em termos práticos a maioria de nós terá alguma dificuldade em abraçar este estilo, afinal ninguém quer vestir-se de igual á avó!
No entanto e como já tinha dito aqui, o segredo está em não recriar o look total, mas sim adoptar uma ou outra peça divertida para actualizar o nosso guarda roupa.
Tratam-se de peças clássicas como os conjuntos de malha, as saias plissadas ou de tweed, os cardigans, os mocassins e as blusas femininas, que com alguma habilidade conseguimos combinar com as peças que já temos no armário.
In real life most of us will have some difficulties in embracing this trend, after all no one wants to look like their grandmother!
However and as mentioned here, the secret is not to recreate a total look but to take on one or two funny items to update our wardrobe.
We are talking about real classics like twin sets, pleated or tweed midi skirts, cardigans, feminin blouses, loafers and mary-janes. Pieces that we can cleverly mix with other items we already have.
